-An athletic park surrounded by abundant greenery
Nagai Park's extensive green space is one of the great charms of Nagai Stadium. Osaka citizens love this park where they can enjoy both nature and sports. Besides sports facilities such as sumo rings, a baseball field, swimming pools, tennis courts and a sports center for the disabled, there are also non-sports facilities such as a botanical garden and a museum of natural history.

• Long-distance running track　
  The outer course runs around the botanical garden. The length of one lap is 2.813 km, so 15 laps of the course is 42.195 km, making it the same distance as a full marathon.
